Diploma? In plumbing? Was all svq's and learning outcome modules when I went to tec. Gas is baws. Ive had my ticket since I was 20. Didn't bother going for the re sit this time round though. Pay attention to the safety controls jig. Are you just gonna do ccn1? (Core gas)Or some specialist subjects to?

Same as I’ve got on now. 225/55/17 I think they are? Maybe 50 sidewall, can’t remember. I’ll check and report back later

Ccn1 to start and then I’ll go from there. I know a bloke that does a lot of green stuff (heat pumps and all that shite) so I might do a bit with him and see what I feel about it.

I had to run around picking up more van crap I’ve bought this morning and into the afternoon but at about 3, miles finally managed to get a few hours on the vans bodywork.

Naturally, it was worse than I thought:

Inner arch was a bit rough. I haven’t got one to replace it so I had to repair:

About 4 decent sized holes to cut out and get some new metal in:

Here’s one for Reg of the welder:

It’s a cracking little welder to be fair. I’m thrilled with it and so glad I didn’t spend £500 on the r tech when this £200 chinesium one works so well in my opinion.

Obviously I’m still a total amateur with welding and if you added it up I’ve probably only welded for 3 hours combined. There’s fuck all I won’t give a go with it now. It’s just so easy.

Got a bit of etch in it to keep it goo overnight:

Tomorrow I’ll get the new cill and and arch on, they’re new panels so should fly on and I hope to get it filled, primed and painted which will be nice as I’ll get the newly painted wings on too.

Then it’s just some chavtastic fat steelies, new rear bumper and then I’ll move onto fucking about with the camper for a bit.

I guess your going to use your new joggler tool to punch holes at 25mm intervals on the sill lip repair panel and then plug weld ?
