Yes why, have you got one for me?

Is it common in the boxes you've looked at and bought , for the shaft to pop through the bell housing? Is that down to Regs' torque 438Nm or nearly 200 more than the box is designed for? Lovely curves for just 1bar (14.7psi).

Yes absolutely will be going for an 02G in the very near future. 02b’s are just terrible and have multiple common weak areas/failure points when you start shoving decent power through them.

You can but a couple of gearbox specialists have told me to overfill these 02b’s as they suffer from oil starvation. Extra oil can run hotter but there bearings will still wear out well before that causes any issues they said. These 02b gearboxes really are complete wank when you start trying to shove actual power through them and not the milk float specs that T4’s usually run with.

Any seals weeping / leaking TP?
It wasn’t ever brimmed - 3ltrs went in, ask Fritz, he was there.

Doubt it would expand and if it did the breather on the top would surely stop and pressure build up.

No sure on leaks, it’s hard to see anything with the catastrophic engine oil leak.

The gearbox has miraculously starting working fine again with all gears!!! Must be an issue with the fluid so I’ll drop that out and change it tomorrow

You have the mount to chassis?

Shaft extension is available from Brickwerks, as it the clutch pipe.

I'm not going for reverse cable either - or I'll make one up

I've swapped the clevis and mount (A shaped bracket that the shifter ball locates into) from the B to the G
A mate told me the clutch pipe is different but with the right kit it’s easy to make up.

The standard mount works so I’m told. He’s used it before.

Ah so the clevis spline thing works? Good to know, I thought the 02g’s spline looked bigger but I haven’t compared or measured so that takes that out the equation.

How about the bracket on the bellhousing for the shift rod? Will that work?

    I know I’ll need:

shaft extension and mount to block
    gearbox mount
    Clutch slave pipe

How about the bottom steady? Will the standard one fit?

I’ll probably not bother with the cable operated reverse release thing and instead use something inside the shifter to then push the lever down to get into 5th rather than have to find extra bits. So I’ll be the same setup as the 02b if that makes sense.
