Thanks for the suggestions guys ................. currently looking into that and of course you're right, a mould release would help, But it has to be the correct type. The various mould releases I have in stock aren't realy suitable for my vacuum forming machine, they are what would be considered 'wet release agents' ............... what you need for thermoforming machines are known as 'dry' release agents. Products that are quick drying and that are resistant to high temperatures, like this > http://www.clearcoproducts.com/silic...n-molders.html

Certain products such as 'wax' I think would be a bad idea, because of the temperatures involved the wax would harden and then be sucked into the vacuum pump, and over time damage the vacuum pump.

An idea or a suggestion is always welcomed Grubb ............. nothing members say or mention is considered 'stupid' ! I'm as new to this sort of thing as you lot are ! I can't think of absolutely everything, so all suggestions are considered and researched.

And if anything stupid is likely to be mentioned ................. it'll probably come from me !!!

Forum members will benefit from a special price anyway mate, I would really like for all T4 owners to benefit from these ........ so who knows, the final price may be different yet. I'm hoping to use Fedex or UPS as the carriers, hopefully they're not too expensive. Just think, should you decide to sell your bus ................. you're sure to get your money back on the headlights, as they'll be as rare as hens teeth down there

The list also allows me to know how many materials and parts to order, as I'm also designing and making the wiring looms for these headlights, there are an awful lot of parts and cabling to order up-front. As these quad headlights will be custom made ....... made to order as it were, there'll already be a lead-time of a couple of weeks or so, it would be a shame to waste another few weeks waiting for materials and various parts to arrive.
