Towbar fitted.

It was a cheap one from ebay for about £80 with wiring kit. Came from eastern europe.



It is very well finished and seemingly good quality - fit was quite simple, few brackets didn't quite line up exactly but tightening all the bolts pulled it all together nice.


The cam cover seal for the breather also turned up so I fitted that.

I've not driven the van for a few days and maybe the fact that unmetered air is no longer being pulled in past the ripped seal but it was damn good to drive the van again - the way it pulls unlike a van should really puts a smile on my face.

If I remove the breather and route it to a catch can - should the map have a tweak to compensate for the slight drop in - dirty hot - air flow?

No map mods needed. Done the same about two weeks ago, and the N75 return.

So, we were whizzing along all very happy then all off a sudden, loads of thick black smoke, no power and this happened

Look closer and the problem is fairly obvious




A quick fix later and we are on our way again.

Halfway through a spirited B road drive home and it went again.
