Just about to leave the house when the phone rang, it got cancelled, dentist was snowed in apparently. Going tomorrow now.
The dentist cancellation started off my no day ha....

This arrived today. Once I work out how to use it I will conquer this van like a boss.

I've been busy with the plane and the sandpaper. I knocked all the corners off and smoothed everything off. I've been unsure what I wanted to varnish it with, satin or gloss. Or oil even. I want with gloss because I want it hard wearing, that's why I spent the extra on marine ply.

And right now trying to cure the first layer ready for a light sand and another layer. Probably do about five coats I imagine over the next couple of weeks. Not in a rush.

I wraped the handles in rope and varnished the middles. The legs will be painted to match the rest.

Well that's it. The van served his last day today and is officially retired. He is now outside my address and I can start the fun bit.
From now on I don't have to set him up for a camping trip, he will be permanently ready. This is significant as I can pop for overnighters without planning and only need to remove the furniture of I want to use him as a van (moving my bike, itv and foreigners etc).
