    I also bought a folding bbq. 17e in lidl. So had to try it out.

          • Whilst messing with the steps yesterday I noticed some rust on the metal around the step area. What has happened in the past I don't know but it was like this when we got it and it never had the plastic steps so why the paint is like this I don't know.

              I painted on some rust converter (what it converts it too I don't know) and did the other side as well. Will probably paint it with some hammerite before refitting the wooden steps when finished.

              All in took about ten minutes.

                  I have no idea why you would grind off the paint and leave it that way.

                              Finished sanding the wood for the step tops and the little plaques that will surround the side door handles to protect against grubby finger prints.

                              • Sounds like nothing but there was around four hours of sanding to round the edges off and shape it up nice.

                                Next was the dreaded step between can and rear cargo area.
