Legs next. This is where it gets a little tricky. I want the unit to be 70cms when in the van. It's the ideal height. But when we camp for a few days then we put it outside and it needs to be 90cms. Normal worktop height. So the legs have to adapt..

I used dowel for the top of the legs as this can be covered in rope to form a handle to move the unit and a teatowel rack too.

This is it stood up. Next I had to line the drawers with a rubber material to stop rattle when driving.

                    • Got to take the top back off to sand it proper, pass the plane a little more etc. This was just for test fit purpose. Then i will finese the legs a little, sink the washer for the pivot bolt, sand, paint etc.

Should sand up well and respond to a few good layers of varnish.

Love the idea of telescopic legs for the unit to work indoors and outdoors. Well thought out mate.
