Interesting.... apparently rule 57 of the Highway Code says "When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves, if you stop quickly."

However it’s not a legal requirement. The only thing apparently that can be used is “driving without due care or attention”. Ie if your dog is pissing about and distracting you*.

*Note my pictures were taken from a video started before I pulled away and stopped when I’d pulled over- he’s that predictable that he always rides like that.

Thanks Sir. It’s in for paint in a month. It’s only done 39k from new. Apart from the wheels it looks standard inside and out. But......... it’s 2.1 with a flower head, hi lift cam, twin 40s with a 5sp box and an lsd. Full Gaz suspension, tramp bars, double width kit at the front on coil overs
