Looking good there! TT Competition wheels - like the colour change...
When your tyres are ready for replacement, go up a size. 👍
225/50r17 XL better rolling circumference and load index.
Some even run 225/55r17. 😀
Wheel or tyre question? Just ask... it's kinda what I do! 👍
Welcome Joevwt4. Your van looks pretty good for its age. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.... make sure you keep us posted.
Our Ruby has done 160k and drives like an angel. If you need any advice just give us a shout. We've done all the work on her ourselves. Xx
The next plan is suspension I will be coming down to maybe 60mm
I have new bumpers in my garage from VW Heritage ready to go on when the respray is carried out but not yet set on a colour. Any suggestions what would look to stand out with the grey alloys?
Alijbuck- your van looks brilliant I've just had a nosy and its amazing how things can dramatically change with some time and hard work! Good job.
As bad as this sounds! I have no idea I based the colour on a roof I saw on a 2012 Audi A1 competition line! And I thought they were A4/A6 wheels but it's been brought to my attention that they are Special edition TT wheels!
Thanks Dave. Not just yet I'm planning to get the exterior done first and then make an effort in the new year to do a bit of the interior myself, as there's a baby on the way and funds are going to grind to a halt once he or she arrives!
60mm and adjusted the front accordingly on the torsion bar.
The lowering springs also came with replacement shins which made a 10-14mm difference so a potential drop of 70-74mm could be made.
