    I am on 195s. I am allowed 205 and 215....all 15inch..
They would spot the smaller arch gap and measure it. Then it's a fail.
This is why my camping set up has to be removable.
Once the girl testing it protested for the three strips of 2 x 2 I use to rest glass against. Wanted me to remove them.

If you are allowed 215's stick a set of 215 75 15 tyres on. Nice n chunky less arch gap. Vw did do sports/lowered springs that were an option. Was only a very mild drop though.

Plus you'll be able to do river crossings if the tread is chunky enough!

I'm starting to think chunky as the mileage will be vastly reduced and as my fuel allowance won't cover this vehicle anymore soon....

What I really want and will be trying for is something deep dishes / extreme offset type wheel with, and this could be the ambitious part now, fat balloon tyres like the American "hoosier" or something like that. Daft as this sounds, think creeper vans from 80s tv show. Or the bad guys van from Homealone. Failing that, Ateam van.

Does it have to be standard to your spec van or standard to the model?? Because the late t4 came with 16"wheels. Would you be able to fit those???

Interested to see your removable camping set up.

                Got any photos?

This is something that I am going to have to do unless I bite the bullet and fork out the money to register as a camper but that is also a minefield. I believe you need to involve and "engineer" for the camper build

It needs to be whatever is on the log book!

And, yes, that can vary. If you put a spare wheel on, due to a puncture that is not matching the other driving wheel you get fined! No "Oh, I had a puncture, look its in the back, and I'm on my way to get a new one" Nope, minimum 60 euro fine, could be 120 euro fine depending on how 'generous' they are feeling on the day!

No. I would have to homolograte and pay if i want 16

Not really as I'm still making it. Basically it a sofa bed and a removable unit or storage. I had a tempory set up for 18 months. It's all in my build thread, dual purpose van.
