Looked at seals too, but recommendation is that the polished face they sit on pits so recon rack is better.

My Audi had a leaky rack and the cost for a recon one was absolutely obscene.

I used a company at the end of the Aston Expressway in brum and they rebuilt it for pennies in comparison.

They do all the recon of racks, gearbox/transfer boxes for Jaguar Land Rover UK, allegedly.

D & A Steering

They were very good to deal with and tested if before and after etc
