I have done some pain in the arse jobs on cars in my time but this is proving to be a proper ball ache!

Not sure where you are but this place in North Devon seems reasonable.

                      • Just called a garage mate, it's quoted as a 6 hour job with a flywheel change & offered to do mine for £200 cash with me supplying the parts. I'll hold him to that at some point.

Did you do yours on a drive with nothing but axle stands and 3 trolly jacks and the necessary hand tools?

I know you cannot do it with subframe fitted on the 2.5 - just wont go.

I read up on the job and it said drop subframe and I thought bugger that! Turned out I did need to drop it and it wasn't so much of a ballache, just undo 4? bolts and let it hang.

Don't think you need to on the 1.9 and cant remember it giving any real trouble - just needed some violence.

                              • I dont put big stuff on my two poster as its got farmers concrete underneath and is a bit thin. Did Rachels 1.9td on axle stands on the yard. Didnt move the subframe, need two of you to balance on the trolley jack. Much rather do than a LDV, citreon or transit.
