PC wouldn't play ball

Wonder if the airflow is the convoluted pipework? dyno curves are very flat. Comparing with sausages dyno print he has 100 ft lb more at 1800 rpm and peaks at nearly the same as mine.

Can you get a photo of colin's intake pipework?

Not disappointed though as it goes like stink

You sure with Sausages that would be 475Nm?

Your loosing a lot of torque to heat looking at the three runs.

Colins intake is the same as mine - Volvo v70 2.5tdi to K&N cone filter. Single pipe.

There's more there to be had....
Looks like a blip between 3 and 4k rpm which could be the smoke limiter kicking in. I'll iron that out.
Then sort the airflow out and some heat dissipation/exchange.
Once sorted if we added the Volvo injectors in and a remap it would see 500Nm and 200+bhp.
Add the Gibonta 0.24's and a remap , well that's for another RR day ......

Been working through Saturdays numbers. Your volumetric efficiency is only 56% with 2.3bar @ 4000 rpm - ball park for our 2 valve engines is 85% = 238 bhp with 50.04mg/s of fuel.

What's good is how strong it's pulling to 3k then holding it to 5k (lets face it, that's the driving range covered in the main) but I'll look at the blip so it curves towards 4k but it could be where your airflow stalls.... Reckon winding all the maps back to max 4500rpm will work better with this turbo too.

What's your plan? - want to make it more efficient and maximise what you have or throw some "steroids" at it in the form of larger injectors? For what it's worth I'd sort the efficiency out, then move on.... [emoji6]

Can you confirm the figures on the three runs and the rpm maximums?

If HP=Torque x rpm / 5252

Then

211hp = 277 (run1) x 4000? / 5252

158.2hp = 277 (run1) x 3000? / 5252

If it's running the same sort of fuelling inputs and air you'd expect the numbers to be similar....

Couldn't see the yellow torque curve - I think 277 on the road is the sort of figure thats more realistic for yours .... the heat took its toll...

Got to remember Reg you're getting more using injectors that are considerably smaller than Sausages 0.21 Volvo units.

We blew a hose on his earlier - fortunately it was after we burned a T5 along the private A38 , he pulled alongside and waved (?[emoji867]) then it accelerated , so off we went.... no smoke to 5k and a T5 flashing his lights falling back after 500m in the rear view mirror so we waved back '🖑" "[emoji870]" '[emoji867] [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
