Still on the stinky stanas.
Log run once I've finished grinning and laughing like an idiot.
Reg I am chuffed, your mojo's back , your boost is back and for a "grumpy fecker", to read "once I've finished grinning and laughing like an idiot" has made my weekend!Last edited by Activ8; 21 January 2018, 12:31 AM.

Start thinking about fitting some decent injectors
I've a feeling the clutch might need replacement soon. It wasn't the best. Realeasing on a very high pedal but strangely biting very low.
It slipped a couple of times yesterday but I may have had my foot resting on the clutch.

Though I'd never say "wicked", blud.
I was genuinely thinking about selling them this morning - would be nice to try them out, would also be nice to have the few hundred quids back.
Meanwhile........Still grinning....
First proper vaguely normal drive today, the run into work.
So much smoother and quieter, I actually like the VW 5 pot now.
Pootling along at 1600 rpm and you are just on the cusp of boost coming in, instant response and acceleration - drive along just below 2K and the boost is there, instant. I've done so much surging up to people's rear bumpers that I may have to fit an Audi badge.
Pulling up 'can't quite pull 4th' hill this morning and it's doing 60 in fourth; on a single track backroad - oops.
Drove past my boss as he was walking into work, his first comment when I sat down at my desk...
"What fucking engine have you got fitted in that van! Sounds well meaty"

With the 0.24's you'd need a new clutch set-up, and a few gearbox's lined up.....
What ratio 5th gear are you running?
The map is designed to come in at 1500rpm to reduce the stress on the clutch ,gearbox and to make it driveable.
....Very driveable with the torque transforming the gearbox.
Your Stanadynes will clean up, and run perfectly in 1-2 weeks time, burning clean and keeping the fuel economy.
Actually you'll find it should increase despite the bhp/torque increases. Your driving style will change!
I would suggest trying your current IC set-up next....
How much do you want for your 0.24 injectors?
I have a more suitable project for them...
