When I met the wife I had eight inches and a wrinkle.
23 years later I have eight wrinkles and an inch.

I've been boxing the seat bases in with 3mm ply over the framework, as well as tidying up the frame it also forms a useful storage box accessible by lifting the seat base forward on its hinges.
The two holes are there for a USB socket and a switch for the heated seats. The bits of batten are there because the front panel hangs over the edge of the frame by about 25mm and the 3mm ply is quite vulnerable, the batten reinforces it.
Some cheap stretch carpet going on, not quite MVM quality but 22 GBP for 2 sq m and two tins of trimfix is good value, certainly works ok. The base of the seat box is made from thicker ply just for strength, I can drop struff in and hopefully it wont fall straight through.
And round the side
That's the new belt anchor mounting point.Last edited by regcheeseman; 23 December 2019, 12:16 AM.
