Useful, thanks for that.
Not sure if the O2B diff crownwheel is larger and the diff axis is further away from input shaft axis - that would sit the CV cups further back towards the bulkhead.
It's the webbed section over and above the output cup that might cause interference problems with the subframe - hard to tell, it could be ground back but that is far from ideal.

At least the O2N has a speed sensor - which is a bonus over the O2Q

Agreed I'm sure I've read the same that the crown wheel is beefed up on the 02B but I'll x-ref the internals shortly.
Do you know your vans gearbox code? Mine's EWB which could be miles apart from yours! I'll post up the ratios.

Done some maths schizzle.....yeah I know.
I have a wheel speed at 60mph - I know that needs to multiply by about 4 to get engine revs
But I cannot work out what combo of ratios i need to do to get four - obvs it need to be top gear and final drive but that is 4.235 and 0.7 for the 02B and how do they make 4?
Why are there two final drive ratios for the FPE?
1st and second tall ratios I like - maybe the thing will accelerate from standstill rather than just rev and go nowhere?
4th and 5th are very close - then a massive jump to 6th

Not sure if you can see it but 4-5 ratios have to be wrong - 1.1mph jump between gears? nah!
02N FPE ratios are 70/19/23
IShaft 1 = 70/19 = 3.684210526 (Gears 1 to 4)
IShaft 2 = 70/23 = 3.043478261 (Gears 5 to 6)

Cleared out the back of the van - the self-adhesive acoustic foam that initially didn't seem to stick very well - had stuck like the proverbial after 3 years.
The metal frame is a mock-up of the seat base.
Sizing up the seat mounts, trying to space them suitably to support the base effectively
It took about an hour or so of staring, measuring, checking under the van, before I decided where the rails should go. I wanted to follow one ridge in the floor from front to back but some do not flow front to back. There's also a pair of chassis members running front to back, they are quite wide and enclosed meaning you cannot fit nuts on the underside; a large area of floor is not suitable for attaching rails.
Eventually I settled on suitable positions, and then aligned the positions of the rails using the square frame to space off the cab step.
Holes drilled for the front mounts and the bolts dropped through
Hit that cross member quite nicely.
