The problem with homebrew boost is the cost of management/mapping, although you could go with a rising rate fpr and low boost, never tried it but it might work!
Easiest, cheapest and most reliable option is a early longitudinal 1.8t from a passat/a4/a6, which would bolt in using the 2.0 sump, mounts and oil pickup.

Cheers, I have a spare head to dick about with for trial and error but thinking about it the petrol inlet manifold takes up space where the turbo sits on the ABL so could be a none starter.But the Passat has me thinking.Mind if molly is happy with how it goes I wont to allowed to play anyway.
