Just a quick update on reusing and recycling li-ion "laptop" battery cells. Theres now a 16x 18650 DIY cell case now available for building simple power banks. If you're not keen on building/spot welding/wiring your own this is a nice n'easy safe solution.

The largest cells I've harvested todate are 1st quality branded 4.2V 3A type with 8 cells in the battery pack. So, an easy 48 amp power supply for 5V , 9V or 12V with a USB-C connection. Easy to charge in or out of the van by mains, solar or as part of your leisure power config. An eigth of the weight and size of an equivalent lead acid battery (or S49's mobile phone) that should last 10x longer for £16 + cells.

Bought a USB Type PD2.0 PD3.0 to DC Power Supply Change Board Module. It correctly signals a power bank power distribution port to convert the output voltage for 9,12, 15 or 20 vdc.
