Nowhere near tornado red , tornado red looks burgundy next to the red I’m using .

It might do compared to your 20 year old tornado red and rust blisters but when fresh it looks like Royal Mail Postbox red.

Second coat of paint today , the finish is getting better , I’m sending a test panel up to our Si to see what he thinks of the finish .

I tried sending him a vid but he’s not on WhatsApp.

Tailgate was a right shambles , previously had a rear window , but someone fitted a steel plate in its place .

My plan was to remove the plate and reinstate the window , but whoever put the plate in made a complete mess and there’s no way the window will fit again .

Needed a bit of filler work on some dents.

All sanded back inc filler work .

I ran out of primer so started on the nearside .

Anyone thinking of painting the van be aware it’s a lot of work , I put a 20hr shift in this weekend just sanding and filler work .
