    Did you just modify the soft code to eliminate the sensor?

        So based on your soft coding you have a Golf / Jetta / Bora cluster fitted ? ...

                Yep its my thread about upgrading the post 99 cluster that got me thinking. I was concerned that readers of the thread understood what you have done. You're modifying the service interval to ignore the oil temp/oil level sensor. Extract below;

                For Golf/Passat Clusters: = XXX ? X - Service Interval

                0 = Fixed Service Interval (PR-QG0) without Oil Level/Temperature Sensor

                1 = Flexible Service Interval with Oil Level/Temperature Sensor (PR-QG1)

                    My van is mostly used as a daily commuter, and my trip to work isnt really long enough to get any heat from the heaters. And what does come out gets lost in the abyss behind me. So i had been looking at my options for a cab divider. Ebay poped up with the van-x kit. Rail and curtain for £60. Not a bad price i suppose. But i did a bit more interwebbing. Found some info and vids on the vanx kit. A lot of praise for it except for the fact that the curtain itslef is very thin and you can basically see through it and you are limited to 3 colours iirc.

                    So i thought id just look for a rail and make my own curtains. A bit more searching and i found a company called Silent Gliss who are apparently the Pitbulls Manspuds of rail makers. Found a company selling their range of rails on ebay. Got a 1500mm rail and sliders for £27 delivered. Charity shop hunt next week for some inspiration on curtains. Then hopefully have a warmer cab for my 3 mile drive [emoji16]

                    • Doubt it'll do much....

                      Diesels take a while before the heater starts to kick out any heat - but once it does its soon toasty and you have to turn it down again.

                      So either your commute aint long enough, a curtain wont help here or something is up with the matrix / heater box / fan?

                      3 miles wouldn't work for me, the needle's barely moved off the stop. Thank god I have heated seats
