      Do like a mk2 golf - Here's a mk2 I rescued earlier from a £500 basketcase - it paid for my T4 (nearly)

Its not bad....think the floor pan is mark2 golf. Think they first appeared in 89/90. Missed a mark one for a steal once for being too tight. I wouldn't go to the 1200 quid they wanted in 1997 then saw them for twice that what a twat I was the lad that had it still has it.

We've all missed that one motor we should've bought, I see a mk1 caddy pick-up for 400 quid just before I bought the bus, kept thinking about it and by the time I'd finally thought I'd have it, the bloody thing had gone.

You seen what they go for !!!

My Last bargain buy that I ended up selling to fund my my T4 work was a toyota celica 2.0GT ST162 1990. Had to sort out the auto box top gear shift. Sunroof rust and arches. It had no miles at all on it and interior was mint. Few pics first one shows it after I fitted some old skool alloys I refurbished. Paid £300 for car and £60 for wheels

Finally managed to find a decent enough day to get the golf lowered, dropped it 40mm all round and much happier with the look now, if I give it too much on a bend I get a bit of tyre rub on the plastic inner arch up front, may end up removing them, anyway .........
