Five minute fix tonight. Finally replaced driver side mirror that something ate a chunk of at some point (like it since I bought it!!!

After market part from Amazon, let’s see how long it lasts but looks ok so far!

New one has a blind spot section- old Genuine one didn’t.

Ooh it fold flat! I’m considering some from there too as they’re cheap as chips! Mine has chunks out of it from when I bought it and looks like several layers of glass too! Other side held together by silicone!

Yep. They will creak and groan and you’ll think “I’m about to snap this fucker off” but then a little red clip will pop out and the mirror stays folded.

Slightly bizarre driving with a new mirror this morning - not only is it super clear and bright compared to the last one, but the blind spot section will take some getting used to as it seems to bend reality as you drive past parked cars etc. Not used to having so much rear visibility!

Strange.... in all the car parks I frequent they get folded, reset and damaged regularly. It does my knees no good when I have to correct the adjacent cars positioning.
