Cheers for the info mate, one thing I am concerned about is where I have masked off. I have created a soft line by rolling the masking tape but am I likely to have any sort of step line, if so what’s best to get rid of it.

Use a bit of fine scratch remover paste and blend out with laquer. Are you using 2 pac clear coat? If so wait until the base is dry. You have several chemical reactions going on there and the clear coat can sometimes pull away at the base coat. Mind you I’m going from my time spraying with cellulose.

I haven’t updated my thread for a while so here goes. I repaired one of my arches and sprayed and it actually came out real good, the only problem was the colour match. Because the original paint is so faded it was alway going to be difficult to match. I have now set about paint correction of the rest of the van to see if I can bring it back to life. I purchased a dodo juice buff daddy pro, some clay bar and some scholl s20. I have already got mers polish and wax so they will have to do. Now armed with all the gear and no idea I set to it. I have only done the front wing but what a big difference.
It’s all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits.
Managed a few more panels today, coming out pretty good. The arch I repaired and painted tho is still a totally different colour so I went back to Middleton paints who matched it and they are going to sort out more paint but hopefully the same colour.
