      • I get it... Will it be enough to remove the metal sleeved rear bush?

        • They should be both metal sleeved. They do two different ones for the rear. A split on and one in one piece. Is yours before or after 96?

          • After... I've got front (both) and rear (both) - bought them years ago from somewhere to bump up an order quantity..

            Had a go at one this morning - it wouldn't shift the front one, and tore the middle out of the rear (at least I can get a hacksaw blade in there now to shift the sleeve. Will have another go at it in the morning. Maybe I need a bigger bottle jack? Mine is a 2 tonne I keep in the van.

              Andreas told me he used an 8t one and it only just did it.

              • 8tonne for the wheel bearing. 3.5 for the bushes, not sure the cast iron take 8 tonnes...

                • I could see it flexing with the 2 tonne. I'll persevere, I'll drill and smash it like fuck if need be!

                    • Cracking on with the bushes... Old ones out, and one side replaced using the Hans method.

                      Have I pressed the rear in at the incorrect angle/rotation?

                      • They should be like that, when the van is back on the wheels they will be 90 degree to the frame. Can be adjusted to lowered/raised vans.
                        If there the wrong way they get faster damaged with the weight of the van.

                        • That figures...

                          A productive morning means that bar some replacement drop links it's all back together. Lower arm bushes, top and bottom ball joints on the OS just for good measure. I'll drag it to work one day this week and set the caster/camber/toe correctly. Hopefully the horrible knock will be gone.

                          • Well the knock is still there - no longer backwards and forwards, just over bumps... Definitely feels like the saddle bush on the torsion bar, but visually the bush is fine.

                            On other news;

                            4x 80ah Fiamma batteries installed, and I made a cover with a handy shelf for riding gear and spares.

                            • Some pics from last weekend's trip over to north Yorkshire... We dodged the rain and even found some blue sky - didn't stay in the van though as the sites we wanted weren't open properly yet.
