Hi everyone, I'm still alive! Not been on for a while, issues with getting onto the app and tapatalk. Thought I'd give you a quick update. The Caravelle went for mot on 29/12 and passed with flying colours. My tweak on the LEDs in the headlights worked a treat. Here's to another 12 months of happy (daily) t4ing
Well, I decided to change my ignition switch today, but couldn't get to the tiny screw holding it on. I ended up stripping the column down to remove the ignition barrel assembly. On coming to refit it all I found that I could do with a new steering column lock washer (N90454201). I then discovered that it is obsolete so I am now in a quandary. Anybody got any ideas?
I managed to locate a washer in the states but after postage was added on it came to $122! So after a bit of judicious use of the hammer, I've managed to rescue the old washer
I remove the switch by using a PH2 drill bit and a small spanner to turn it. Saves taking everything off and faffing with it all. Takes me 10 mins to swap these. For future ref
