Time to put some electric in the van, I Purchased the split charge system from xtreme vans it come complete with a fuse carrier , two switches for LED lights and cut out all in one box. This alone with the leisure battery sits Nicely under one of the bench seats. Also under the seat I've fitted a two way rcd board and a double socket for mains hook up, the plug for this is behind a fake light.
I don't plan on using mains hook up very often I prefer to be off grid as much as I can, I don't think I will bother with a powered fridge maybe I decent cooler like yeti or igloo I have been told these can keep ice for about a week. Click image for larger version

Light are working and look great, well happy. I have switched then in two groups of four front and back. I do need to put a switch in at high level as they are switch under the bench but this will have to wait. Click image for larger version

Havnt updated for a while so here goes, after a fair few trips away last year we got to know the van a little better. The layout which consisted of the two bench seats with a table that dropped in the middle to make a bed, worked very well with lots of room and storage but we found it about of a faff to set it up and down as well as trying to live in the van. Because the bedding lived under the seats in the day we had to take everything out in order to make the bed.
So out with the old and in with the new, as the new season is nearly upon us we thought we would change our layout. I managed to get a cheap rock and roll bed which we will recover at some point, along side that instead of the popular tall unit we have opted for a lower bench which will add valuable space to the bed, the storage which we found useful before and extra seating if it's needed. I am also going to get rid of the unit behind the seats in favour of a smaller unit at the end of the bench. Here is the progress so far.

Managed to do a little bit more today, I lined the back section to inkeep with the rest. I am going to cover all the woodwork with black hasienda laminate from egger. I also re installed all the battery and split charge system. Work is moving forward.

Made a start on the overhead storage locker today, as the back of the r&r bed is going to be used for storing the Bedding when we are are away the area above is dead space so might as well use it as extra storage. I have seen some for sale already made but as funds are tight I set about doing it myself. All I need to do tomorrow is line both sides and it will be covered in the same black hasienda as the rest of the wood work. I might even play around with some lighting and bits and bobs in the locker as well.

@Dazteen that looks cool mate I did toy with the idea of putting speakers in it. Maybe I need to add some padding to the underside[emoji848]
