Yes, well SMD's, but you say potato I say pomme frites...

Got some cheapy sidelight bulb holders from fleabay, drilled a hole in the top of each indicator, and siliconed them in. Wired them direct to the sidelight loom on each side.

They are not very bright, you can barely see them in the daytime - but I didn't want to over power the indicator bulb.

Redoing my foglight housings is next on the list!

I got double contact bulbholders for mine. I did a similar thing on my mk2 cavalier though

The white automatically goes off when the indicators are on so they don't alternate colour when flashing.

Did they replace your original indicator bulbs? Did they not mess up the flasher relay?

I got some double contact bulb holders and the led bulbs off eBay

I've put resistors in line for the indicators so they flash ok

Cool... I've been looking at different relays so I can run SMD indicator bulbs - but they're way down the list of mods at the mo.

What size resistors, and where did you place them in the loom?

I'll have a look. Can't remember off hand. They just wire in series by the bulb holder.

Must admit I do like the amber marker lights. Did have double filament yellow bulbs in but people kept saying that I'd got a bad earth on my indicators.

£9.99 from fleabay - could have got some from Europe for £7.99 if I had patience...

I've started sealing the lense with clear silicone, will do a few layers. Then I'll hammerite the back to slow down the rust. I may try and silicone them into the plastic housing to stop water being forced in - watch this space! [emoji106]
