This being just opening the ports a bit to match the manifold/gasket size?

Having got this far I'm now thinking....

      try the new inlet manifold

      pull the engine

      replace clutch

      sort turbo oil leak

      move the expansion tank

      paint the bay

      fit the intercooler

      big injectors?

Do you have to drive a 1 litre 52 plate corsa as an alternative though.

A petrol? Rather drive the Ka.

                  I know...just joshing.

No one would want to drive a ka.

                  • A second class ride is better than a first class walk.

Funnily enough , I’ve always wanted to buy a ka and fit a turbo charged duratorq or turbo charged Zetec engine in it .

But leave the exterior as standard as possible , it would be a right laugh pissing off the boy racers

maybe one day I will ....

                      • I think I'd prefer the Corse. It always felt like a well made motor (Mrs had one called Penelope). The Ka drove like you were in a soap bubble!

                            • Thought I'd try the AEL manifold

It'll be fine as it is, but I reckon with a vee cut in the top edge of the manifold I can swing it forward closer to the cam cover and give more space for a turbo - just need to find someone who can weld aluminium....

Also had a bit of a mishap when the bonnet fell down, the edge nicely catching the top of my head, hurt a bit, then after about a minute or so I was aware of something wet and warm dribbling down my face* and then looked down onto the front crossmember....

Then it started to really hurt, so I walked around in circles in the garage for a bit.

                              *go for it arfur.

                              • The AET inlet is going to make routing the pipework interesting. Will you be turning the turbo 180 degrees with the air intake coming in from the nearside?
