Yea for the last few months cleaning anything has been a bit futile!! The amount of WET about has made clean an unachievable. Having 2 idiot collies this even expands to the inside of the house!!

Shame I didn't have time to wash it.

Bigger shame that they wont fit over my big bakes (when I fit them)
It's missing something in my humble opinion.... could be those big brakes, cannot put my finger on it but the rims are very "Reg" though and as ever work-in-progress with the meister! Wonder what changng the indicators would do?

        • Is that grey or khaki green Reg ? Either way I like it, and it definitely looks better with the new rims over them orange ones [emoji106]

Sell my T4 !!! I'd rather stick wasps up my butt.

Cheers - I love them, got my love of the van back again.

It's grey - L469 Anthracite grey. Quite a brown colour but a lot of people swear that it's green - it's not. Does look it in some light though and it does in those pics - it's a great colour -thankfully you don't see many the same.

Oh there's more to come - I was staring at it longingly tonight and think I know where to go next - no more orange externally I promise!

Reg.... you do more in 10 minutes than most of us do in a year, as always looking forward to the next installments.

Nah, unlikely - glad they were part of the journey. It did sort of work... pity those calipers didn't find their way onto the van reckon that would of been a new direction in itself. Genuinely looking forward to the next steps....

                • Any joy with finding the spare wastegate actuator - could do with a donor unit that has already been abused, I've a cunning plan....

That's Colins spare Reg and not mine. I've put a few feelers out. If I can replace one of mine I'll send you one. You need it before Saturday?

Nah no worries - I'll sacrifice mine, it'll just mean more down time.

I'll run as is for Sat which means a slower initial boost build rate.

Dunno if I'll ditch my tailpipe as it definitely gave response gains - if I do two runs I'll try both options just to see.

I'll get a logrun same time.

Surely it holds shut to 10psi or are you not seeing that in the logruns? An increase in the spring rate will upset the N75 function
I replumbed Colins to match yours and also put a one way valve on his yesterday. Boost was really strong. It pulled strongly all the way to 5k+.
What gear are you going to choose for the run 3rd or 4th?
Pity you couldn't drop those 0.24's injectors in and make a comparison, would give me something to work to when it needs remapping!

Volvo / Saab Specialist I know reckon they have a buggered turbo (? odd wording), any how, I'll drop in tomorrow and snaffle it. I'm owed a favour or ten.

Who are you and what have you done with Activ8?

                              It's holding 19psi no problem.

The spring rate never changes. The preload does. I want to set the preload at a level enough to hold the wastegate shut but low enough to limit the duty cycle the N75 needs for effective control.

                                I'm his alter-ego Deton8.
Could you change them for a comparative run? How much airflow you getting?

It will drop off (mapped to 2.2bar) at the higher rev range to keep the airflow efficiency.

I was thinking you were going to use the spare wastegate valve to change/upgrade the spring rate?
