Wondered if we the belt slipping it might have been voltage related, that or the water got somewhere it shouldn't. The tray will go back on the weekend.

It's the w terminal on the alt - oil warning takes a signal from it or rather it doesn't when you've soaked everything in water.

If you've no undertray, why not nail an old bit of rusty tin roof to the underside of the van with roofing tingles?

Unplugged the little loom from the alt that goes across to by the starter and yes the wire has rotted through further along from where I soldered and covered in heat shrink back in 2017. With a bag full of plugs from the scrappy the other week i'll make up a new loom tomorrow.
