  • Reg has put me on the naughty step

I’ve been pulled up by Reg re my vacuum pump pipe/hose.

    And quite rightly so.

I think I need one of these???

I think the part number is 7D1611931K??? Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks in advance.

You should be able to get some servo hose from the factors, which can replace your "garden hose". Looks like fuel hose but made not to distort, close up so don't use fuel hose.

As most modern motors have gone to moulded plastic pipes it may have to be ordered. Used to just have a short section of it on the Volvos so we kept in stock.Had trouble with the lad at the factors telling him it had to be servo hose. Told him it would say it along the hose. A quick word with the boss their and it was ordered. I should have grabbed the one at the scrappy, next time i'm up i'll get one for Justin.

Keep the Hosé Jez. If it's sealed and works or swap it for a branded one like "hozelock" to make a statement.

Hi. I had to patch my up recently and can't found a new one. U reckon a rubber hose will replace the plastic pipe?

When I get a new vacuum pipe, I can use the old garden hose to water the garden once again.

I think that’s the problem Hans...normal rubber pipe deforms and restricts the air/vacuum...at least that’s how I understand it??? So we need the proper plastic stuff.

No matey. Don’t think it’ll work. It needs to be plastic as opposed to rubber...and it needs to be rigid.

                              No,

                              Rubber or silicone will collapse.

You can buy rigid and semi rigid hard pipe for plumbing airlines/air tools - local hose and hydraulic place should be able to help.
