  • They seem to rust there so I suspect it holds the moisture and rust's from the inside.

    • Right I'm back on yay so yesterday I found said hole and went about repairing done a little step by step on how I do it just incase it helps someone else that needs to do just a little repair so first up cut out to good metal all round

      • I then got out as much rust and crap as possible and used a rust inhibitor to try n slow the process I will also when all finished go round and grease all the cavities

        • Next was make a template on a small repair I use masking tape then run my dirty fingers round the edge to make an impression

          • Transfer to metal and cut out then fine tune so roughly got 1mm gap all the way around

            • Then tack in place

              • Then join the spots with lots of other spot welds moving around and taking breaks to let the metal cool once done grind down excess

                • Next would be skim some filler prime and paint but ain't got no filler so just chucked primer over for now job done

                            • Cheers yeah always got sheet steel knocking about for just incase and as for settings on thin panel work as low as it goes with wire speed around 6
