  • Spring , not the season

    Hi
I have the van being welded and have taken the rear spring off .
    Ideal time to measure.
So it measures 25cm and is red.

What does that tell me regards how much lowered the Van is and does the colour indicate strength?
I'm looking to renew shocks and springs very soon.

Have you got a picture of the van with them fitted? We can all have a gander and play guess the ride height.

We dropped ours 50mm on fleabay springs. That's about how much thread we have showing on the torsion bars after we'd lowered the front to suit the back.

If major passes mot tomorrow then I am going for
Vogtland shocks and 40mm lowering springs (feel free to shout hold on if they not as good as reckoned)leaving bottom rubber off should be about 50mm vdubs measured the 40mm springs 250mm they might not sink as much as the ones allready on I will start plus gas on torsion bars in preparation.
