nasty things - place them in a skip and get some proper axle stands and a decent jack.

I binned the set I had as they were cluttering up the garage for years, then the father in law brought me another set two weeks later - as he was clearing out his garage and thought I'd like them ....binned them too.

They're not painted orange Arf! Ideal for shoving up the rear but I prefer axle stands for the front.

Yes anything major defiantly use axle stands. Handy for painting the rear underside. I just dont do vans on two post lifts.

They can be a twat to get up on, invariably one slips or moves, you end up half on or off, overshooting or not quite up on one.

Mate had a bus roll off a bigger set, instead of running away he tried to hold it and got crushed bad, broke a few bones. just dont trust them.

edit ---- Also a bit tricky if you need to take a wheel off to improve access for example those all too common T4 jobs.... 5th gear mod, CV boot, brake pads, discs, track rod ends, ball joints, steering rack gaiter, shocks, cambelt etc etc etc etc.
