    Al'reet .... First fit Garrett GT2870S ball bearing turbo with water cooling and 2.5" DP. The 3.0" DP needs tweeking. Biggest compressor wheel to date Exd71mm Ind50mm. 76mm inlet.

    For years I thought all turbos were water cooled. The only ones I came across back in the day were on the L series Subaru. Quick car in its day but alas not as quick as the rust.

    What are you doing to keep the head down?

    I've been looking at 2260s - but this looks useful

    In the picture is an 0.6 A/R compressor & the GT2 0.64 A/R turbine , but I've also bought an 0.8 A/R compressor CHRA to swap over and try, plus the GT2560S CHRA too. All for the same wastegated turbine housing.

    Ive already fitted the cut down 12.9 head bolts off of the Golf ARL. If the head lifts I'll buy ARP but with a reworked head, larger exhaust valves and a performance cam.

    On at the mo is a K24/K16 2470 hybrid but I'm still building the K24/K26 2672 hybrid, it'll run 52psi.

    Just waiting for some hosing to make up some new oil lines.
