Yeah I guess, It was news to me that even when waiting in a traffic jam you can't touch it. One hilarious side effect is getting Siri to read my messages that have emojis in them. Try it, my misses uses loads of them.
As long as it's on charge you don't need to touch it, just say "hey Siri, read my messages" or whatever else you want it to do (sorry if that's teaching you lot to suck eggs)
It was already in when I got the van mate, but it involved drilling a hole in the roof and mounting much the same as a stereo aerial, that's about as much as I can tell you, sorry bud.
Sell my T4 ? I'd rather stick wasps up my butt !!!

Thanks want to mount mine permanently. Thinking of installing roof rack first.
One thing i forgot, when I looked at mine it was mounted on the support rib that runs across the roof, some of them aerials are a little weighty and with all the swaying from the spring it might buckle the roof a little, just a thought 👍

Just remember when you have the cb antenna on, for the first few weeks, well months, you will without doubt have a few squeaky bum moments every time you go under a height restriction you previously had no trouble going under. The amount of times I've emergency braked at the sound of scraping metal only to jump out and realise it's just the boingy ariel doing its thing, to much relief
