That's the same reason I coded mine, wife said it looked like a builders van. I put alloys on and fitted windows but that wasn't enough so I painted the bumpers, still no good so I put a spoiler and pained that and the mirror covers. Turns out it's still not enough [emoji22]

MIne were colour coded (as were the mirrors) - it got a through de-chavving with a few litres of satin black.

At least I can chuck the cement mixer in the back now.

Lucky for me mine only have 2 coats of paint, so there's still plenty of room to get things in and out the back 🤣😜

So I also did the hose bodge for drain holes after all the crap i found behind wings. I run the tube along a natural recess that drops hose out just behind front bumper. Used sika flex and shoved a bolt down inside hose and popped nut on to hold it tight. This was after my first attempt and realising id have to hold it i place for quite some time ..doh! In the pic showing hose that not the route it goes along the top then drops down. Unfortunately no pic. Click image for larger version

Fitted my first window. Opted for the side door just incase it went pete tongue Still undecided about fitting other side as like idea of more usefull space for bits and bobs. Lesson learnt. Panel bonding takes a long time to go off! When clamping be careful with clamps as i took a head punch from one when it camp off 😂 oh and get a decent sealant gun. I have forearms like tree trunks now. Click image for larger version

Great stuff. What's happening in the 4th photo with all the wood and clamps?

It's holding the inner and outer skins together for bonding.

Going for a U shape seat area. But still debating on a hightop over poptop as the surfboards will stow away in the top and i can just climb in with full head height. Don't look so cool but I'm past needing to look cool. Practicality for me.

You are correct about the look of a hightop - may want to consider access to car parks as well....

Ok so im still not keen on a hightop but a bargain roof and standing room it is. Who wants to park on height restricted sites anyway Back to sanding and preparing for some red paint. Click image for larger version
