One day ill have a camper

As usual when you think you had a good buy and a quick bit of diy will have you out in the wilds camping isn't quite true So far after removing builders wood floors had to patch quite a lot. Then replace one of the rear trail arm mounts that had rotted! Absolute nightmare. Rebuilt the backend with polybush trail arms, new eibach springs, gas shocks, brake guards and calper rebuild. Started the front sills in hope it would just be but if a skim with filler and tidy up. Nope rotten as a pear! Will keep updating. Click image for larger version.

Have you tried turning the gas on when welding?

Not a migmate by any chance is it?

Well done for trying to save it though.

Cheers Dave T becoming a labour of love. Haha regcheeseman the first lot was gasless mig I've had years but when I had to weld the chassis trail arm mount there was no way I'd trust gasless. I wanted decent penetration. The welding before any coments haha. The last plate under front arch was also on the gas which does give loads better weld.

So in between looking after the mrs as she had shoulder op yesterday I'm making some headway. Having to fabricate the inner arch and taking door off tomorrow as off work.
Will cut old arch off then do inner arch repairs then look to weld sill and arch. Click image for larger version.

I am trying to take a crash course as I fear T4s and welding come hand in hand
