Being an ABL member i'd go for the 1.9td......others will tell you different but that's the beauty of it. Hello and welcome which ever you get you wont go too far wrong. We paid 2 grand for ours this time last year if i'd come across these two then i'd of had em both.

OMG should have read the thread properly go for the first option, its white they are faster and if you take out the bulk head i'll have it if its going in the scrap.

As S49 has already said each to there own I would go for the 2.5 all day long as I love my one. At the end of the day they will both be good vans and mainly it’s a T4 not a t5

Buy em both mate, make one good one, whichever one you choose, flog the other in parts and yours would've cost next to nothing [emoji106]

Welcome I would go with Red's option. Buy both pick the one that suits you best and flog the other either as parts or as a runner. Under £1000 is a bargain for a running driving van

              ok here is the 2.5tdi
no the prettyiest i agree , but a little work and a fresh wrap can make all the difference.
ONE MORE ISSUE IS HEATER CONTROL HAS TO BE DONE UNDER THE BONNET
              DRIVERS AND REAR DOOR LOCK
              MIRROR GLASS
              PATCHES ON REAR INNER ARCH

As red said , for a bag of sand each I'd buy both , if you can offord to ! Strip one , the 1.9 you'd get 300/400 for the engine an gubbins I expect

well unfortunatly cant afford both . both have the pros and cons ..

the 2.5 im tempted with but is any one local to help with side windows and bulk head removal which some one could have for free and help remove lol
then the inner arch . not a great del to do

also need to look at options to fix the heater etc as can only be adjusted under the bonnet
the body well i dont think its that bad , and once wraped would look great

the 1.9 tdi .. has most of what i want including the rear seats and side windows ..

hmm decisions .. i got the weekend to work it out lol

Our heater control cable is kinked so you have to push the last bit on the valve under the bonnet to get full heat. They can suffer from the control being broken in the dash. The air vent control outer cable wasn't attached on ours cause the part for the clip was bust...careful placement of Aldi cable tie fixed that.

heater problem , seems the off putting part on the 2.5 ...is it a case of adjust when needed and put up with it or is it not too bad to swap out a few parts to get working again ? wont know untill i decide which van lol

Ours is 1.9, got a kinked cable to the valve. Have it set to full heat till spring, I regulate the cab temperature with the centre vents and the good old fashioned window winders but feck me they are low geared.
