evening and welcome, l don't know any VW places in Brighton but there's Sussex Campers (if l remember correctly) at Etchingham (passed Heathfield) that could help out or advise.

          Hi Tiki.
          Hello and welcome .
I got a us lhd myself. Very nice but don't tell anyone [emoji12]
U get access for the seatbelts from the removable panels. Its tricky.
I removed all badges on my. Put fat wheels on and a douplex exhaust.
Otherwise i got same problem. How far should i go with modifications?
Welcome to the eurovan t4's[emoji23] [emoji23]

Hi Jamie, welcome to the forum.
As far as lowering the van, Dave Sausages is the man to speak to and would know all about steelies too.
I bought seatbelts for my van from Just Kampers but im in Australia so could be plenty of places over there like Cali Campers or even eBay.
Goodluck with the van, look forward to seeing some pics.

Hi Jamie, welcome to the T4 life! You will end up spending much of your time in here!! And get used to a very light wallet!! Ha ha!

I think you are talking about banded steels... theres a few reputable companies making them at the moment or if youā€™re lucky you may find a second hand set for reasonable money!
Lowering.... how low do you dare go!! I would suggest replacing the shocks at the same time, especially if their quite old, makes a big improvement!

And , oh yeah, PICS!!!! Cā€™mon show us that floral beauty! [emoji16]

That looks great , unsure how long a spade and a spare would last on the back in Derbyshire, but the black lines running forward do make a difference.
                            Thanks for sharing.

If u get to the automatic part of the belt u can check if its free moving, the belt could be trapped ore covered with fluff from the insulation, see picture. Hope it's solves the problem because to remove the panels without damage is almost not possible.
