                      If it bangs on the bump stops I can give plenty of advice on how to improve ride (without taking out a 2x6" section of chassis)

                          One way to get more travel is to cut the top mount in half behind where the shock fits to clear the bump stop, you will then need to sort another fixing point for the mount, some people rebolt it right behind the damper. Next issue will be if the damper runs out of travel. I make a top mount that sends damper further into the chassis, if you have the skills it's pretty straight forward to knock up, I'd hate to think I was just trying to sell you something! If you get it down to the end of the torsion bolt thread, the first thing that will clash is the the track rods on the chassis legs. If you want it low low, these will deffo need notching, they will be about an inch at the front, about three inches long and go down to nothing
