I had one if those on my Scimitar until I changed it for a momo one.
My cars tend not to have airbags so nothing to worry about.
But I have to say that the thought of hitting somthing hard is a great incentive to drive better!
And another plus is no bomb in front of you!!!!

From what date were airbags added - were they standard from a certain date or an option?

They where standard from 96 in caravelle and multivan for driver and passenger .
Standard vans optinal and sometimes part of a special edition

Hi. Mine is a 2000 velle and got no airbags

I have an 03 wheel for the pick up, no airbag.It was an option from about 97 on i spect

i have a 96 panel with ABS , its all there, i can feel it kick in sometimes, the light indicator on dash beside the airbag light but theres def no airbag in the steering wheel nor the passenger side....weird???

Mine was a '99 panel van (bulkhead & barn doors) & has got twin airbags, abs, factory sunroof & aircon.
