Like the vinyl the effect is heaps better than the standard grey, how did you get it to wrap around all the curves and contours without it creasing

To mould it I warmed it on a calorgas heater until plyable. Once in shape I re--heated it to set it.
I was toying with a brushed aluminium effect too.

What I would say is make sure the vinyl is proper wrap vinyl or you don't stand a chance and heat it slowly as poss.
allow plenty of time too or you will end up rushing it like the vent picture.
I think the heat this summer will wreck this but we shall see. If so, I have a plan b.

Ok so now i can post pics again i can update a little.
I had a problem with the heater matrix. It leaked like a good one whenever the van got to higher temperatures, which here 9 months of the year. Waiting in border ques didnt help so i had it bypassed. I understand that because its left hand drive and has aircon i am lucky because they are readily available, or so i am told.
For the moment i need to lift the rubber because it smells like vomit under there.

It smells sooooooooo bad. I used my Boss's private garage because it has all the facilities and mine is too dark, he threatened to throw me out. It really is that bad.

Since its up and cleaned i thought i may as well use up some left over insulation to cover the floor area. Maybe it will keep road noise down but i doubt this much.

              Its free, for the least.
So i put the rubber mat back, minus the affected areas of foam. I then remembered i had some of the rubberbacked carpet i did the roof with.

So i fitted this as per the picture.
Does anybody understand the sentiment that with it like this i didnt want to refit the seats. I want to roll on it and do the snowangel motions.........

Anyways, after i recovered from being stabbed in the ribs by the seat bolts (oooooouchhh) i did refit the seats.
The smell has now gone and its a little more comfortable under foot. Has it cut some noise, has it f....... Nevermind.

Next i need seat covers. I dont want of the shelf/ebay jobs. There is nothing wrong with them but i want something different, looking for suggestions. If i get a good one i will go with it.

For now, thanks for listening and i enclose a picture of a monkey for you, hairy bugger was trying to steal my biscuits!

Ok so as promised a little updating.
I spoke before about my love of "creeper vans" and I have sourced a few pictures to better explain what I mean. This should make it clearer where i want to take Adolfo.

Hideous carpet but that aside it's comfy looking and somewhat inviting, no?

                  And finally.....probably too far now.
                  Hopefully you get the idea.

Anyways, this is distracting. I must concentrate.
I had a massive oil leak so had no choice but to knuckle down and fix it so I took advantage of my Boss's toy garage and did a few other jobs. The oil leak was the filter loose (3 laps loose!). The old one was loose when I changed it, is this a common problem?
So while under the van I did the short shift now. It's true what they say, best value change you can make. What a difference. If you haven't already, do it asap.

My much awaited roof fabric arrived in from England (two weks ago shhhhhh) and I set about fitting this. It's foam backed and suave. I can't stop stroking it (awaiting sarcasm from Hairyjerry now).

Old one out, I had to first restick the old fabric first. I used a 3m glue so the brand is a quality one so fingers crossed it is stronger than the sun.

it was so easy to do I just can't believe it. Goes to show, quality fabric, quality glue.....easy job with good results.

                            Hope the pic is upright
