    Black Headlights - Anybody Opened the Standard Front Headlight?

    Having seen in the Members Build Threads a few Audi 80's and Golfs etc...
    I wondered whether anybody had any experience of opening the T4 OEM Lensed Unit and modding the lenses?
    We used to do it in the 80's by unbonding the glass in the oven...

    I like the standard OEM look and don't think the DRL styled lights are a good enough fit.
    So I've been thinking of modding the standard unit.

    Just have 80 over 100 rally bulbs with the loom upgrade in ours......................................let there be light. Have to say I like the standard light look.

      My drls came with the bus, I like them but agree, they aren’t the best fit.

        I did see someone do something to fit a strip of LEDs inside the OEM unit somewhere- probably Facebook.

          Ah- I remember Turk took a set of OEMs apart as part of his headlight project- he doesn’t come around these parts any more [emoji16]
