My Bro had this one with his van!

Kept in great condition by two oldies who only took the van to Europe in the summer for a couple of weeks a year. Amazing condition!

Is that book any good? Seen them for other vehicles and look ok.

Yeah was pretty decent. Saw lots in their that I've seen on the Internet passed off as "wisdom" haha. The little tricks and tips not in the Haynes manual.

I found the Haynes valuable, but found by trial and error it is littered with omissions and errors, so when one of these Brookland Manuals came up cheap that covered 1999, I pounced.

It's very different to the Haynes, with loads of useful schematic diagrams that cover areas I've never seen or properly understood, but no photo's whatsoever, and no index.

Topic areas are included that are virtually absent in the Haynes, including a good diagram of the break compensator valve and an extensive explanation of how to adjust it, and the different rear coil springs fitted, for example. There are also diagrams of the complete timing belt arrangements that would have been useful earlier this year. Some diagrams covering Air Con arrangements too.

I reckon the two manuals complement one another well, and might be of interest to anyone considering doing their own maintenance.

Perhaps we should product test it.

Haynes is good for torque specs and kindling. Fuck all else.

The Brooklands contains lots of Torque Specs too Tommy.

Much more on engine disassembly and tolerances as well.
