The stuff I've got is expandable cable sleeving 12mm, about 25-30mm expanded
You push it together or use a suitable sized tube to feed it over then drop your cabling/plug through.
Its pretty fast to sleeve existing cabling runs subject to the plug sizes!

      • Does anyone know how the tank sender unit comes out of a 2.4d fuel tank and does the tank sender/fuel pump assembly from a petrol locate in the same manner? I've found a listing for a tank sender/pump and heard somewhere(d-9?) that if i use an external pump i'll need some sort of swirl pot so for 52 squid i could go for the factory unit.Anyone a clue?

        • Si. The sender just lifts out when the ring is undone. Don't know about the petrol ones. Shouldn't be to much different

          • I've taken a chance and ordered one. Will have a play with the 2.4 tank the weekend hopefully.

            • Does the sender twist and come out or are there any clips?

                  • Proved a couple a points this morning. You cant mount a T4 petrol fuel pump in a diesel tank. The diesel tank has no clip in the bottom of the tank for the remote pump. On the 2.4 the sender is mounted on the pick up pipes which is part of the bung in the top of the tank. Its be a wanted for a petrol fuel tank or an external pump and what ever complications that brings. Bright side, i have a spare for Mol's bus now.

Nope, theres a circular part made in the bottom of the tank for the fuel pump to clip into as well as the smaller neck to stop you putting diesel in them.

That part had completely slipped my mind mate. I'll go with an external pump me thinks, mount it where the filter would be on a diesel with a filter under the floor.Wont have to fanny around with the gauge sender wiring then.
