Verbie - Build Thread - from white van to...

Hi everyone
Purchased my 1999 T4 in Feb 2019, since then I’ve done the following to it:

- Rock & Roll Bed
- Ply Units
- Smev sink & hob
- Awning rail
- Cold water supply and drainage
- 12v electrics inc. split charge
- Side windows
- Audi TT seats up front on swivel base
- Diesel heater
- 12v TV
- Apple CarPlay Sony head unit
- Lowered springs with new shocks
- New brakes front & rear
- 18 inch Scirocco wheels

The van is currently in the bodyshop having rust repairs and full respray. I wish I’d had that done before kitting it out but wanted to make sure it was big enough to use for long trips before throwing more money at it!

It is a 99 TD with 230k miles and had a replacement engine at some point in its life. So far I’ve had cambelt changed, fuel pump repaired, sensor and switch replacements and new glow plugs. It runs really well.

That’s a great first post and with pictures! Welcome to the forum.

Love the wheels, was so close to going for them myself for the camper. Turbine style always looks wicked IMO.

Thank you mate, just seen your build thread and now going to be late for work... cheers for that.

Knew as soon as I saw a van on turbines I wanted them, found them on eBay for £200 with tyres so couldn’t say no. Tyres are shit but will get them replaced when I get my van back.

Yep, I’ve got weeks away in Scotland, Yorkshire & Cornwall and I get away every other weekend in the Cotswolds, Devon or Wales. Can’t wait!

Need to get few things done with engine, odd oil leak etc and might get roof bars fitted but not sure yet
