    Hi
thought I’d Better start a build thread as I’m going to start building the bed this afternoon!! So here’s Eric. A 2.5tdi lwb factory high top. My plan to start with is just make him usable as a camper ASAP!! I’ll try and keep you all updated much as possible.

Started building the bed. This may be a temporary one as we are going away next weekend so need it done quick. Lol. I’m getting the ply Monday so should be able to finish it quick. I’ve used 3x2 as it was on sale in wicks and I’m a FB!!

          FaceBooker?

Those hightops are appealing I must admit. So much more perceived room inside them. Very practical. Thanks for sharing your van with us.

Snatching an hour here and there to get this bed made before we go away at the weekend. Knocked this up and robbed the cushions from our old caravan until I get some made.
it’s not pretty or a work of art but should be functional. I’m going to attempt to put in a 240v hook up before we go away time permitting. Hopefully won’t run out of time!!

Tonight’s job was to sort the hook up ready for the weekend. Very simple install but all good. In and working more to the point!

Just borrowed them from our old caravan until I get some made. They don’t look too out of place though. Lol.

No they don’t. My sister has the same style fabrics in her T25. Very period. Works great.

Going to tackle the leisure electrics next. Very weird set up at the moment. There’s a Duritic split charger under the bonnet feeding a leisure battery behind the rear wheel well on a battery tray. However it’s mounted with the top tight up against the floor so can’t get to the terminals so can’t test it etc. There is what looks like an in-line fuse so may take a feed off there. All good fun!
