Digging through some old pics and found this about 15 years back - LT35 mid top. Made the surfboard too out of old school science benches. That needed a new windscreen and welding too..
going to fix this one with a hammer and some insurance - wish me luck!

Time to deal with this 11” crack - decent weather for a couple of days, screen came out more or less in one piece and lots of rusty patches - grinder at the ready. Also de-installed the spoiler in a fit of sensible-ness.. Wish me luck

some before and after pics - there was a leak from each roof seam so unpicked the sealant and welded up. The scuttle was actually pretty good under the crust, just a couple of holes to weld up but now looking much neater and in the nick of time

Cracking on - wings bolted on (they are weld on type), bit of sikaflex round the arch. Alignment not too bad. Couple of roller coats of paint with the edges to cut in with a brush and the shuts to do.
Looks odd that it’s mostly the same colour (from 10 yards). Patchy as its still wet.

Local tyre place - came to work and fitted for free. Chose not to pay extra for the white lettering.. The bosses sons have all studied engineering with me. Spacers to go on next, see how she blows.
