I got caught out this year, I just let the (FLUX) direct debit self renew as I CBA to shop around, I think they've added in legal cover which I didn't want previously - even so the renewal was still under £200 .

      • I have been with together over 7 years. Never bothered looking around as they are always within a fiver of £200. Didn't even change when i claimed for 2 side windows in the same year.

        • Are you both insuring the T4s as registered "campers" rather than as a van with windows.

The insurance company won't pay out more than the insured value, so if you insure your van for £50, they'll pay a max of £50, minus your excess.

                  • I haven't refitted the drivers or passenger steps back since badly tackling the rot, tin worm and rust. It's a learning curve and with two coats of Electrox both the cill & step were ready for marine warfare and fitted with Bilt Hambers self healing zinc skin. However without the step I've noticed a build up of moisture / water sitting in the inner cill. The door seal is fitted correctly so where is this coming from? The passenger side is bone dry and I'm parked downhill on a 20° gradient. Is it the door skin , window seals, rolling from the rear door edge - any thoughts on.how to stop it? The drivers side was the worst affected side could I be looking at the symptom?

                    • Condensation?

I have a small leak on the drivers side screen and that causes a little condensation.

                      • Are the drain holes clear? As long as it can run out as fast as it runs in all should be good.

                          • Built up the first of the Greddy Skyline turbos yesterday and today, see 10th November post. Using the largest wheel I could find for the housing and turbine shaft, the hot housing is an A/R 0.54 and smaller than the existing 0.64 its currently running so it should spin up much quicker long with the lightened fly wheel . The trick compressor wheel at 60.2mm inducer & 78mm exducer is my biggest to date being 50%+ over the OEM K14 and just 14g heavier than the Greddy comp wheel. So its packed and ready to go off and be balanced "professionally". The wheel can run to 50psi but Greddy have recommended an initial max of 27psi (1.836bar) on m'diesel. Its used to far more abuse as a petrol unit with temps hitting 900 degrees C at a Skylines higher rev limit so we'll see! That almost maxs out the 3 bar config its currently running but the air mass will be huge by comparison to the K24. New and much larger injectors are now on the shopping list, probably 0.32's with the 12mm pumphead. I think 300bhp will be a doddle and with the new cam profile(s), head and lifters with switchable mapping I'm aiming beyond it with some additional mods - exhaust, IC, water, oil cooling with additional fuel pumping.

Quick update. Spoke to 2gether (Antony) and without even giving ANY info or details, not even the postcode! - I was just told "Dayvan would be £380 - £500 , Camper (must be completed within 3 months) would be £240-280". The exchange of info ended there. Not a good start.
